Multi-Product Packing Line Runs Successfully During the Mid-Autumn Festival Season

During this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival season, a new automated multi-product packing line from Hengli Packaging Technologywas put into operation at a customer’s factory.
The line was designed for gift boxes containing different types of products, such as mooncakes with different flavors and specifications. It connects box forming, product loading, gift box assembly and case packing in one production line.
Packing Different Products into One Gift Box
One of the main requirements of the project was to pack multiple products into the same gift box.
In the production process, a robotic arm equipped with pneumatic suction cups picks up the products and places them into the correct positions in the box. The packing sequence and positions can be set according to the customer's product arrangement.
This allows the line to handle gift boxes with many different product combinations while keeping the products in order.
A Complete Packing Process
The line covers several steps from the inner box to the outer carton.
After the boxes are automatically formed, the products are picked and loaded into the gift boxes. The completed gift boxes are then transferred to the following packing section, where cartons are automatically opened and loaded.
The different machines work together through the conveying system, reducing manual handling between processes.
Handling Different Product Combinations
During the Mid-Autumn Festival season, gift box orders can vary from one product combination to another. The production line is therefore designed to allow operators to adjust the settings for different products and packing configurations.
This gives the customer more flexibility when handling different gift box orders on the same line.
More Than Mooncake Gift Boxes
Although this line was used for Mid-Autumn Festival gift box production, the same packing concept can also be used for other products, including:
